I taught math at the DC Phelps School of Engineering, Construction, and Architecture. I keep the student focused by guiding the student to the answer rather than lecturing. Learning is a process of discovery, and students benefit from analyzing their mistakes and practicing problems multiple times to avoid careless mistakes. I help students understand why things are true, rather than having them memorize. I have expertise with children with ADHD/ASD/Dyscalculia/GT.

One of my greatest joys is seeing a student improve their grades and get into their first-choice college. I love to see students surprised that they are good in math and gain confidence and self-esteem, knowing that they can do things they never thought they could do.
