"Hello! I'm a passionate trumpet player who wants to share my love of music with others! I graduated summa cum laude from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and earned a Masters of Music at The Hartt School. I am recently earned my Doctorate in Music! I love working with students of all ages and view both performing and teaching as a way to serve others. My teaching philosophy centers on a multi-faceted approach, not only focusing on trumpet technique but also integrating relevant music theory, history, and aural skills with the goal of helping students become better all-around musicians. I also offer Suzuki Method lessons!

I also teach lessons in music theory, ear training, and sightsinging. Whether you are a young student eager to learn more about music, a high school student preparing for the AP Music Theory test, an incoming college music major preparing for entrance exams, or a music enthusiast who wants to expand their knowledge of the intimidating "academic" side of music, I will work with you to help you reach your individual goals.

I have maintained a private studio of trumpet students for over seven years, teaching both in-person and virtually. Some students have auditioned into honor bands, while others who were behind in band have caught up to their peers and gained confidence in their musical abilities. I have taken courses in Trumpet Pedagogy and in Sightsinging and Aural Skills Pedagogy in which I learned how to cater to each student's personal learning style and interests.

I also have a passion for Economics, and I am glad to get to stay involved in the field. I greatly enjoy tutoring students in a variety of different Econ courses and helping demystify the subject!
