"I'm a professional software developer and a graduate from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo - where I received a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science. Additionally, I hold an A.A. in Mathematics and another A.A. in Computer Science.
I've worked in a variety of workplaces: startups, single-person teams, and 1000+ person organizations. Likewise, I've held roles that span a broad spectrum of software engineering. I first began working professionally as a mobile developer for a small outfit, wherein I developed an Android application to manage and control Bluetooth enabled devices. Since then, I've continued to enter different corners of the software development world. I've worked as an applications developer for a mid-size bank. During this time, I worked to automate various business tasks and supplement proprietary software by leveraging their C# SDK's. For some time, I also worked as a server engineer at a gaming company, where I was tasked with developing distributed and highly scalable systems. These systems were central to facilitating the real-time matchmaking of tens of thousands of users. Presently, I work as a fullstack engineer for a startup that is focused on data automation and data intelligence.
I'm also familiar with tutoring. Professionally, I've tutored undergraduate Computer Science courses on behalf of university staff. As a young adult, I partnered with my local children's museum to devise and lead week-long summer courses that taught elementary school children how to program and design LEGO robots. Until recently, I also volunteered with a couple of high school robotics programs as a software and electrical mentor. All this to say: wherever you're at in your own journey learning programming or computer science, I'm happy to help." less...
