"I'm a professional writer and editor, who has edited and written for publications (print and digital) around the country, and for a variety of markets and industries. I've trained many young writers and journalists, who have gone on to hold senior editing and writing positions in various fields. I studied Journalism at the E.W. Scripps Schools of Journalism at Ohio University, where I also minored in English (Creative Writing), Film, and Political Science.

I have never tutored professionally, but I'd like to begin helping young students who want to improve upon their writing skills -- and perhaps open a window for them to further their interest in writing.

I've written and edited professionally since receiving my first paycheck for an article for Writer's Digest magazine while I was studying at Ohio University in the early 1980s. I'm a skilled writer in various styles (features, straight news reporting, short-form, etc.), and have even dabbled in fiction (although that's not my strong point, I should point out).
