"I am a physician-scientist and professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago, where I lead a translational research laboratory focused on cardiometabolic disease, vascular biology, and molecular mechanisms of chronic illness. I hold an MD and PhD and have received competitive national funding from the NIH and the American Heart Association. My academic training spans molecular biology, physiology, pathology, and translational research, which allows me to tutor effectively in core biomedical sciences, experimental design, and scientific reasoning for both PhD and medical trainees.

I have over ten years of teaching and mentoring experience across multiple educational levels and settings.
