"I have over 10 years of experience teaching, creating lesson plans, and reviewing HW/assignments for students in chemistry and math at the University level. I have a Ph.D. in Chemistry from University of Chicago, where I also taught Organic Chemistry. I have experience in tutoring both lecture and laboratory content and can help students perfect their assignments/reports and prepare for exams.

I approach tutoring through the following steps: 1) measure current level of subject knowledge, 2) identify missing key topics, 3) teach from a bottom-up perspective (i.e., focus on content through the "why" and "how" questions rather than just memorization). I want students to understand the underlying detail of the subject, so that they can apply those in the future classes/career.
