"My name is Daeri, and I am passionate about helping students excel in chemistry by fostering a collaborative and student-focused learning environment. My goal is to simplify complex concepts, build confidence, and inspire a love for the subject through personalized and innovative teaching methods. I strive to create a supportive space where students feel valued, motivated, and empowered to achieve their academic goals and develop the skills needed for success beyond the classroom. With a Ph.D. in Chemistry and 23 years of experience, I bring both deep content knowledge and a sincere commitment to making chemistry approachable and engaging for every student I work with.
My teaching experience includes serving as a professor at the college level, where I have taught Introduction to Chemistry, General Chemistry I and II, and Chemistry for Health Sciences. I also have extensive experience preparing high school students for AP Chemistry exams through both one-on-one tutoring and small group sessions. My approach is interactive and adaptive—I focus on breaking down difficult topics into manageable parts, using visual aids, real-world applications, and formative assessments to ensure deep understanding.
Over the years, I have worked with a diverse range of learners, including high school juniors and seniors, college undergraduates, and adult learners returning to school. I’ve taught in classrooms, laboratories, and online environments, always tailoring my instruction to meet individual learning styles and academic goals. Whether guiding a student through their first chemistry course or helping them prepare for a challenging exam, I aim to make learning both meaningful and enjoyable." less...
