Outside of tutoring I build, play and prototype indie games. I attended Tufts University and majored in computer science. My programming style is careful with lots of testing. I have collaborated on the programming for 2 recently released games with my students: Pinku's Chibi Dressroom (for Android) and Surge - Multiplayer by RenSoftware (for iPhone). It was truly amazing to watch these students learn and grow over the months of development and cross the finish line to actually release a game!!!! I completed my computer science major in just 3.5 semesters but also took the time to become a curricular teaching assistant. For one semester I worked with my academic advisor to actually design and write course material and homework for a new intro to computer science class. My best tutoring moment was helping someone with no programming experience prepare for a programming job interview. She later texted me saying the 2 hour Java crash course we did was the sole reason she passed the test and ended up getting the job.
