"I have worked for small startups, and I have worked for Fortune 500 companies with a lot of successful projects along the way. I love mentoring students and colleagues alike and helping people find ways to develop and engineer new technology. I'm experienced in most Microsoft development tools as well as JetBrains products for software development, and Esri and Mapbox products for GIS.

I attended Baylor University to receive a computer science degree and learned all about object oriented design, data structures, algorithms and a whole survey of programming languages. Also, I have 10+ years experience as a software engineer with 8 of those as a GIS Developer. I have a few certifications including an Esri Enterprise System Design Certification for GIS. I know the ins and outs of developing GIS applications, so I can teach you the basics or move on to more advanced topics of cartography and beyond.

For my students, I like to meet you where you are. Learning what you know first, helps me figure out where we need to start and where we are headed. This usually happens organically through conversation and by the simple questions we ask each other. There are no bad questions, but I will be asking some too!
