"As a literature major and published writer, I understand the challenges that writing can present. I am passionate about helping students improve their communication skills and achieve their goals -- whether that means perfecting personal statements, polishing assignments, or composing essays for college applications. I know it can be overwhelming and I aim to leave my students with the skills, as well as the confidence, to improve their writing in the future.
I have worked as a writing assistant in a 200-level literature class at American University, served as a writing mentor through The Adroit Journal, and have served as a beta reader, editorial assistant, and editor on a variety of books (the most recent of which became a bestseller). Whether you are a brand new student or an established writer, I am happy to proofread as well as provide tutoring services. I love watching my students' ideas emerge from their writing as they gain the skills necessary to succeed. Teaching is very inspiring to me -- often, I learn as much from my students as they do from me!
I specialize in Literature, Proofreading, and General Writing. I am particularly passionate about editing college application essays. Currently, I am in graduate school for epidemiology, so public health and medicine are my other great interests -- I love helping my classmates with their written work, and am happy to help you, too.
I look forward to hearing from you and helping you reach your writing goals!" less...
