"Hello! My name is Nicholas! I kicked off my college career in community college (NHTI) majoring in General Studies and transferred to two separate universities (Florida International University and Southern New Hampshire University) and ultimately graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Psychology with a concentration in Mental Health. During this time, I interned as a teacher for troubled middle school youth (7th and 8th grade) and for a family services agency. I managed to accrue 120 hours in my first internship, and 120 in my second prior to graduating. After personally experiencing so much change throughout the past few years, I know how important it is to find a suitable and understanding teacher to fit particular needs.
Regarding the context of my teaching experience, it has been both in a classroom and online via Zoom (particularly during the height of the pandemic in 2020), and have six months of teaching directly to students. I've always had a personal interest when it came to linguistics and English throughout my school years growing up and took a personal interest in writing and poetry at a young age, which helped me grow an immensely strong vocabulary and set of communication skills. Additionally, I found a passion for Psychology shortly before graduating from Pinkerton Academy High School and decided to follow my heart in that upon entering college. I try to take techniques that have helped me when I was a learning student and utilize them for others in the same way, if not better! My goal is to ensure that the material is engaging and enjoyable for everyone involved.
I am dedicated to maximizing the benefits for the students I work with, and I highly value any resources or suggestions that students or parents can offer. I am easily accessible and committed to providing prompt responses to the best of my capability. Please feel free to reach out to me for any further inquiries or to schedule a lesson!" less...
