About Me:
I have taught Statistics at CSU, San Bernardino in the Department of Psychology and have various experiences in student support and instruction rolls prior to my work at CSUSB.
I have worked as an Academic Counselor, Academic Coach, and Tutor for students with learning disabilities. I have had to think on my feet and explain various assignments through a variety of ways to ensure that the student is able to comprehend. I work with students in aiding them with breaking down the assignment into smaller pieces and have them set their own deadlines as needed. I aim to work with the student and have them self identify what pieces they would like to start with when it comes to an assignment.
I provide students with tasks to complete in between sessions to ensure that they are mastering the material while not overwhelming the student altogether.
I have worked in the Accessibility Services Department at California State University, East Bay as an Academic Success Counselor. I have worked in the department for three years now as an Academic Coach in which I manage a caseload of 7-10 students and provide them the necessary support they need to complete their coursework, and academically and socially succeed at the University. These students range from major to major, disability to disability, current academic year at the university- all of which face their own challenges.
Look forward to aiding you in your studies. Feel free to contact me to schedule lessons." less...
