"Hello, I'm Shelby. I'm a doctorate student at NAU studying Clinical Psychology. I graduated Summa cum Laude with my Bachelor's in Science of Psychology at ASU in 2024. I'm here to help you study for psychology and statistics, and I can help you navigate admissions to graduate school for psychology. I've worked in the behavioral health field for 4 years. In this time, I've used ABA techniques to teach functional abilities to children and adults with special needs. Working as a tutor is a new experience for me, but I have a lot of experience with the learning process and with my subject material.

As a student, I have struggled working with TA's who aren't on the same page as my professors. In my tutoring sessions, I will specialize our learning material to what you are learning in class, and what specific concepts you need to review. I can implement exam preparation and essay-writing into our sessions so you are prepared to tackle your coursework. When we are covering topics, I will implement real-world scenarios into the lesson to give you a deeper understanding of the concepts. My aim is to help you practice psychology at a deeper level to make the experience applicable to your future career in psychology.
