"Hi--I'm Marianne! I spent 7 years in a PhD program for clinical psychology before leaving with my Master's to pursue another path in life. My focus was in neuropsychology, studying the relationships between the brain, cognition, and behavior. I now work as a psychometrist, where I administer neuropsychological tests to patients with cognitive and psychiatric disorders. Along with a neuropsychologist, I interpret test results and write comprehensive reports for each patient. I also work as an Executive Function Trainer, helping patients with ADHD improve organization and develop strategies based on their strengths and weaknesses.

I have ample experience conducting research, applying appropriate statistical analyses, and writing scientific research articles; and I love to help students in these areas! I taught several undergraduate courses (Psychobiology & Interpersonal Psychology), TA-ed (Cognitive Psychology & Cognitive Assessment), and guest lectured for graduate courses in in Neuropsychology. I also mentored undergraduate and graduate students in research, statistics, and neuropsych assessment.

My educational background and work experience in the field of psychology has provided me with an in-depth understanding of how the mind works and how we learn. I love to teach and would love to help you with your tutoring needs!

*My hourly rate also applies to any additional time (30 minutes or more) I spend outside of sessions (e.g., reading, editing, and providing feedback on written work; reviewing specific course material; creating study guides, outlines, and other requested/necessary prep work for sessions).

*Any outside work that is requested and requires immediate (same-day) turn-around is subject to 25% increase in hourly rate.

*No-show policy: Without prior notice of cancellation, missed sessions will be charged half the hourly rate for the time scheduled." less...
