"I'm an interdisciplinary tutor with a strong academic foundation in psychology with many years of applied teaching in yoga. I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology with a focus on evaluation and research, and I have spent almost 2 decades studying how humans learn, change behavior, and integrate knowledge. My background allows me to support students who want both conceptual clarity and real-world understanding..
My teaching experience spans 1:1 or small group instruction with K-university students and adult learners. In psychology, I help students break down theories, research methods, brain structures, and neural processes into clear mental models, using analogies, visuals, and evidence-based learning strategies. I also support students in developing critical thinking skills, reading academic papers, preparing for exams, and understanding how abstract concepts apply to behavior, health, and everyday life.
In parallel, I am a certified yoga teacher with extensive training in mindfulness, embodiment, and nervous system regulation. I have taught yoga and mind–body practices for many years in 1:1 and group settings, working with different levels of experience. This strongly informs my tutoring style: I emphasize presence, curiosity, and pacing, adapting sessions to each student’s learning style and goals. My approach is supportive, structured, and integrative, helping students not only understand the material but also build confidence, clarity, and sustainable study habits. I enjoy working with students who are curious, overwhelmed, or seeking deeper meaning in what they are learning, and I aim to make complex subjects feel approachable, relevant, and empowering." less...
