"I am a certified speaker and trainer and hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management and Organizational Communication from Concordia University of Wisconsin and a Master of Education in Career and Technical Education (CTE) from Concordia University of Portland. Public speaking and training are my passions. I have been a member of Toastmasters since 2011 and have served in multiple officer roles and earned many awards, including the organization's highest educational credential, Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM), and District Toastmaster of the Year, and I am a 2019 Toastmasters International Presidential Citation recipient. I have over 30 years of experience in the corporate/engineering world as a technical writer and editor and document control manager.

I enjoy teaching because I love helping students grow! Training and teaching also allow for more interaction, engagement, and instantaneous feedback than public speaking. With my MEd in CTE, I have learned that it is extremely important for us as teachers to have current and applicable experience to share with our students. We should be able to pass along to our students the knowledge and wisdom we have gained throughout our careers and point them to the necessary resources they will need to become successful in the given field.

I am extremely computer literate and my go to programs are in the Microsoft Office products with Word and PowerPoint being the strongest. My experience in the corporate world had me editing documents in MS Word and using the program to its fullest limits with embedded documents, tables of contents, and more.
