"Hey, I'm Alex! I graduated with a bachelor's in Applied Physics from the University of Washington and a bachelor's in Computer Science from Bellevue College. I’ve been working in the software industry over 4 years now and currently work for Amazon as a software engineer.

During my time at university, I noticed that the classes I learned the most were the ones that had a hands-on approach to learning. I’ve found that working on real projects and solving problems is a great way to learn by doing. Whereas when I took courses that involved watching PowerPoint presentations for 60 minutes, I would forget everything an hour after class unless I took extensive notes. So I try to have my students be as hands-on as possible during our sessions. Let’s build something cool!
