"After raising 2 very successful children, I began teaching in the Los Angeles Unified School District, which voted me in the top 10% of all teachers. I taught kindergarten and fifth grade in California for more than 7 years, before relocating to Arizona. In Arizona, I taught kindergarten for several years, as well as in the afterschool enrichment program.

My most recent teaching experience was substitute teaching in kindergarten through 5th grade.

I love the idea of tutoring, particularly for the hands-on approach and being able to individualize instruction to meet each student's needs and capabilities. Being able to have close contact with families is extremely important to me. I'll never stop being a parent!

I have years of experience teaching k-5 reading curriculum and assisted students in achieving high scores in standardized testing. I love to read to children and encourage them to embrace reading on their own.

I feel very strongly that I can and have taught phonics with the use of books as well as utilizing the child's environment in a "fun" manner.

I am able to utilize the English language while consistently incorporating phonics.

I am so looking forward to passing on my love of education and assisting children to have a high self-image.
