"Hey there!

My name is Kyle and my passion is the written word. Graduating Spring of 2025 with a major in English and a minor in Human Development, my goal is to become a certified High School English teacher. I have 3 years experience working as a Paraeducator in the High School setting, as well as running a Creative Writing workshop for interested students.

I admire the flexibility, patience, and understanding from the educators I have personally worked with, and hope to bring this energy and attitude to my own students in future. I believe that the world of education, you should learn from your students as much as they learn from you. I do not view education as simply lecturing, but rather a discussion to be had.

In the Creative Writing workshop that I run, I bring fun and engaging lessons in the form of slideshows that range from a wide variety of topics; History, Form, Critique, Convention, etc. As an independent writer myself, I feel I bring a unique approach to Writing and Reading, emphasizing the importance of literacy and shared storytelling. My mantra for my Creative Writing students is as follows; "If our stories go untold, our history is lost to time."

My work as a Paraeducator has provided me with experience not only in a Special Education classroom setting, but also in mentoring and tutoring students in a wide variety of General Education topics, but my "bread and butter", so to speak, are English and English studies. Within the classrooms I have worked in, I assist not only with my one on one students, but also the teachers themselves and their class by providing additional support as requested, so I have experience working with groups of students as well.
