"Formerly a tenured teacher in the public school system, I am currently in private practice as an educational consultant. Teaching reading and writing to learners of varying ages and abilities is among my passions. I strongly believe that each student is unique and pride myself on customizing learning materials and methodologies to accommodate individual preferences. All students can learn. It inspires me to be a part of a process that transforms reluctant learners into confident and capable ones. Students need to know how much you care before they care how much you know. Connecting with learners is among my specialties.

I love both the spoken and written word. Sharing my fervor for the English language and inspiring students to have positive interactions with reading and writing motivates me. I have extensive experience in guiding students with learning differences, many who come to enjoy English - a subject which they once dreaded. From prepping students for standardized exams to mentoring them regarding college application essays to assisting them with their school assignments, I am well seasoned. Yet, I remain a kid at heart - a quality that enables me to understand my students.
