"Maria holds an MS Ed. degree from Bank Street College in Special Education, and is trained in Orton Gillingham method of instruction. Maria is a certified reading teacher, in addition, she has taken workshops at the Windward School with writing and writing workshop process. She connects students to the world of literacy through their own personal journey. Their interests become the engine that motivates their reading and writing skills. Once engaged, she gives them the structure and practice to become capable readers and writers.

Maria is an experienced tutor, workshop leader and classroom Reading Teacher.
