I received a Master’s of Science degree in Education from Mercy College. I have New York State Teacher Certification in Early Childhood Education, and pending professional certification in Childhood, Early Childhood, and Special Education (Birth – Grade 12). I am also trained in Orton-Gillingham methodology by the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education.

I have four years of teaching experience. I am now teaching at Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy after two years teaching first grade at a small private school in New City, New York. Previously, I taught first grade for two years in Brooklyn, in a small school that catered to disadvantaged students. My classes contained students with special needs, including learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and English language learners. I use a variety of methods to help each student succeed academically and socially.

I have much experience catching children up to grade level. I believe in using rigorous instructional methods to help all students quickly meet required standards. I use a variety of research-based methods to help each child succeed. I care deeply about my students, and am committed to their success.
