"I hold a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Iowa. I am also licensed to teach K-8 in the state of Washington. My educational background has equipped me with both the knowledge and practical skills to work with students at various levels and abilities.

Over the years, I have gained diverse teaching experience. As a preschool teacher, I led a classroom of 20 three and four-year-olds, where I planned curriculum, created individualized lesson plans, and worked closely with parents to ensure student success. I collaborated with an assistant to meet the unique needs of each student, including those with diverse learning requirements. In addition, I also have experience as a reading teacher at a homeschool coop, where I designed weekly lessons for students at various reading levels, and as a substitute teacher, I supported multi-age classrooms. My roles have always involved close collaboration with parents and other educators to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.

My approach to tutoring is student-centered. I strive to tailor lessons to meet the individual needs and learning styles of each student. I use a variety of instructional methods, including hands-on activities, real-world examples, and interactive exercises, to make learning engaging. My goal is to build student confidence, foster a love for learning, and help students achieve their academic goals.
