"The ability to read and write in all types of genres (literary, informational, persuasive) is fundamental to success for people of all ages. I specialize in teaching reading and writing to students from Pre-K through middle school to launch their literacy journey and create a lifelong love of reading and writing.

I target learning to respond to students’ areas of need and create a personalized and targeted approach for improvement in all areas of reading and writing. Research shows that engagement moves student learning forward, and I am committed to getting students “hooked on reading” and having them enjoy and celebrate their growth.

I have been a classroom teacher and reading specialist for over 20 years, and have also tutored students and coached classroom teachers in the area of literacy instruction.

Certified Literacy Teacher PreK-12 in States of Connecticut and Florida

Masters in Education from Sacred Heart University

Former Adjunct Professor in Graduate Literacy program at Sacred Heart University
