"Reading shouldn’t make kids feel anxious or ashamed. I help struggling readers rebuild their confidence and master the foundational skills they need to feel capable and proud of themselves again. My students don’t just catch up — they start to enjoy learning.

I’ve spent over eight years working with early elementary students across general education, special education, and literacy intervention. I hold a Master’s in Integrated Curriculum & Instruction and a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Connecticut’s NEAG School of Education (Magna Cum Laude), with dual teaching certifications in Connecticut and Alaska.

My approach blends empathy with evidence. I use Structured Literacy and the Science of Reading, drawing from multisensory, Orton-Gillingham–aligned methods (including Wilson Fundations and Heggerty). Each lesson is designed around data from diagnostic tools like DIBELS 8 and Amplify, so every child gets exactly what they need — no guessing.

One of my students recently moved from “Well Below” to “Well Above” grade level in just 60 days, gaining 73 points on DIBELS. More importantly, she rediscovered joy and confidence in herself. That’s what I care about most.

Sessions are virtual but personal — high-quality audio and video make learning clear, interactive, and effective.
