"I am a professional Reading Interventionist and Dyslexia educator in a local school district. I have been in education for 11 years, and hold a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I am an experienced teacher who has a passion to teach students to read. I am trained to work with dyslexia students, struggling readers, and students who need help with test strategies for STAAR. I am certified to teach students in grades Preschool through 8th grade.

I start the first session of tutoring with multiple assessments to find out what reading level your child is on, what their fluency rate is, and their comprehension. Depending on the age/grade of the student, I also will use an assessment to evaluate their spelling ability. All of the assessments I administer are used to see the whole picture of the student, and find what would be the best plan of action in regards to tutoring.
