"Hello! My name is Amanda and I work for Rice University. I have a PhD in English Literature from Texas Christian University (TCU). I have taught college writing and literature at Seton Hall University, TCU, and Rice.

I have taught English abroad and have experience working with children from 6-18 years old as well as adults. I have tutored SAT/ACT prep (reading, writing, as well as the science section of the ACT). As someone who is very familiar with the college landscape I can also assist with college entrance essays and applications.

I believe that everyone can learn with structure and a plan that is custom-built for their needs. Everyone learns differently and I am dedicated to discovering how your student learns best.
