"Hi My name is Melissa and I've been a nurse for 15 years, a Nurse Practitioner for 2. I teach at Linfield University as adjunct during semesters when my schedule allows. My mom is a retired elementary school teacher and I've been tutoring since Jr High/middle school. I tutored for college scholarship in high school (A+ program in Missouri) and for pre-algebra on the side in the past. I am very visual, like color and pictures in my studying, flow charts. I really like the online whiteboard. I like mneumonics. I'm an active listener and think I'm better than some at explaining things in different ways to improve comprehension (learned from my mom). The math just takes practice and doing problems together.
