"Hello, I'm Waleed. In May 2023, I graduated from Rutgers University with a Biology Degree. I recently took the Dental Admission Test (DAT) and received a 24 on the Perceptual Ability Test (PAT) and a 20 in the Sciences sections. So, if you are struggling with any of the 6 subsections of the PAT, I can help you succeed with a competitive score. I specialize in tutoring specifically for the DAT PAT section by teaching tips and tricks that I utilized to help me with my speed and accuracy.

My goal as a tutor for the PAT is to help you recognize each type of problem from the beginning and how to analyze the question. For example, in the paper folding subsection, you can try drawing the holes on paper instead of visualizing the answer in your mind. Then, as you unfold each line, reflect the holes over the lines until the paper is fully unfolded. Once you get some practice, you will get quicker with these problems in no time.

After a brief consultation, we identify your strengths and weaknesses as well as form a personalized study plan up till the date of your DAT exam. I will adjust the content and frequency of my lessons according to your pace and availability. We will go over many sample problems to help you understand any type of question in the six PAT subsections. My job is to ensure that you feel confident and at ease with no frustration or anxiety.

Mathematics has also been one of my strongest subjects ever since I was younger. In high school, I was a peer tutor for Algebra in my senior year. I have experience in understanding and helping others while teaching basic to advanced lessons at the pace of the student’s choice. I feel that to get better at learning formulas and theories is through repetition using examples.
