"Hi! My name is Daniel, and I recently graduated summa cum laude from Howard University with a degree in Sports Medicine and a minor in Chemistry. I plan to apply to medical school in the next couple of years, and I am excited to return to tutoring as a way to both share my knowledge and help students succeed academically. Having recently been in the position of many of my students, I understand the challenges of balancing deadlines, grasping difficult concepts, and preparing for important exams. That experience allows me to connect with students on a personal level, making the learning process less intimidating and more engaging.

During my undergraduate years, I tutored a range of subjects, including Algebra I and II, Biology, and General Chemistry. I also worked with middle school students at the Howard University Middle School of Mathematics and Science, focusing primarily on math. My tutoring approach is interactive and adaptive—I like to learn about my students’ interests outside of school so I can create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and exploring new ideas without fear of judgment.

Whether I’m helping a student break down a complex chemistry concept or guiding them through challenging algebra problems, my goal is to build not only their subject knowledge but also their confidence and problem-solving skills. I believe learning should be both productive and enjoyable, and I strive to ensure my students leave each session feeling more prepared, motivated, and capable than when they started.
