"Hi, I'm Stella! I recently graduated from Mercersburg Academy, a rigorous college preparatory boarding school, where I developed a deep love for language, writing, and classical studies. I’ll be attending Vassar College in the fall, where I plan to continue exploring language, literature, and writing. At Mercersburg, I served as a teaching assistant for second-year Latin, and worked in the campus language help center, supporting students with everything from essay writing to translation assignments.

I’ve studied Latin for several years and have a strong grasp of both the language and the most effective ways to explain it clearly. In addition to Latin, English and reading are personal strengths of mine. I received a prize for English Composition at graduation, and scored highly on both the ACT English and Reading sections. I love helping students improve their reading comprehension, analytical writing, and grammar skills, and I know from experience that strong test prep doesn’t have to feel dry or stressful.

My experience helping peers has taught me how to listen closely, explain clearly, and adapt my approach depending on each student’s strengths, challenges, and goals. My lessons are ideal for middle and high school students, especially those working on improving academic writing, preparing for the ACT, or deepening their skills in Latin (from beginner to intermediate levels).
