"Hi! I’m Jacob. I recently graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a B.S. in Cognitive Science (specializing in Computer Science) and a B.A. in Spanish & Linguistics. I’ve worked as a peer tutor throughout high school and college, and I’m excited to keep doing what I love: helping students truly understand material and gain confidence in the process.

I have direct tutoring experience in Algebra I, Spanish, and Symbolic Logic (general logical reasoning), and a strong background in a variety of high school subjects, including Spanish, Algebra, Geometry, Biology (intro, AP, and college-level), AP Physics 1, AP Psychology, and AP Calculus BC.

Beyond that, I’m especially confident in Spanish language tutoring, thanks to my Spanish linguistics major and focus on effective language learning strategies. I’m also proficient in Python for data science and happy to tutor in that area too.

Additionally, I would love to tutor ACT and PSAT/SAT subjects. I scored a 35 on the ACT (with a 36 in English and 35s in Reading, Math, and Science) and earned a National Merit Scholarship based on my PSAT score.
