Being a former school teacher myself for the past 10 years and private tutoring for the past 6 years, I have much experience for what your child needs to know and how to properly teach them to succeed. I use real-word examples, drawings, videos, examples and common word problems and how to solve them that many students have problems with that your child encounters in school on a daily basis that our goal is for your child to relate to and in turn be able to bring that to pencil and paper assisting your child in working independently. Your child is in excellent hands. I use praise and positive motivation to teach and reteach what your child needs to know to reinforce what they need to be learning in the classroom. If needed I will even work with your child's teacher to find out what is needed for your child. During our weekly sessions I will even take time out to help your child complete his / her homework so that by the time you get home, homework has been completed!

To tell you a little bit about myself, my name is Clay G. and I have taught and tutored elementary (primarily math, reading, science, and social studies up to grade 6), teaching in the Dallas / Plano / Garland Metroplex for the past ten years. Besides earning my teaching certificate, special education, ESL, and principal certification, I hold two master's degrees in education.
