"I'm a graduate of Roanoke College with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies and a concentration in Peace and Justice. At Roanoke, I served as a Peer Mentor and Teaching Assistant for 4 years, offering professional and academic guidance to students. I specialized in academic writing, research, and scientific communication. In addition to this experience, I was also deeply involved in my institution's community, serving as the President of College Democrats, an SGA Senator, a Student Representative on the Diversity Committee, and a Research Assistant. In my time at the school, I spoke at events with Chelsea Clinton, Rev. Jesse Jackson Jr., Sen. Tim Kaine, and Bakari Sellers.

Professionally, I've worked for over 6 years in Washington, D.C., serving as a Congressional Intern and working in various policy roles representing public utilities and Fortune 500 companies. During this time, I successfully advanced the Inflation Reduction Act, worked directly with White House officials, and advanced several bills through the Virginia and Maryland General Assemblies. In addition, I managed college and high school interns, providing career guidance, college advice, and unique projects to challenge them and teach new skills.

In my free time, I have also served as a literacy tutor for adults for a year, and worked in public libraries supporting teen literacy and reading programs.
