"I am a current second year medical student at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. I graduated with my Bachelor's in Biology and recently graduated with my Master's in Biomedical Sciences. It was here that I learned of the importance the educator has in determining the success of the student.
My most adored professor was one who engaged the classroom with every chance and emphasized the application of the material in order to truly understand what was being taught. I use these methods in my own learning and would like to pass these on to you the learner! This includes learning more about you the student and how you best understand information. Whether it be visual, auditory, or tactile, the goal is to cater each lesson to how you best comprehend.
Most of my tutoring experience comes from volunteering in a workshop teaching high school students on the inner workings of DNA and DNA analysis. I did this program for one year where I traveled to different how schools and taught the students how to perform PCR and explained how it worked. I enjoyed working with students who had a passion to learn.
But even more so, I loved instilling a new passion for the material in students who were not previously interested! I truly enjoy all things natural sciences including Biology, Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry. My Master's Program focused on Biochemistry, Genetics, Anatomy and pathophysiology (how a disease affects the inner workings of the body), so any of these subjects are my specialty. Please feel free to contact with any further questions!" less...
