"I have an easy-going style which seems to work well with students who are anxious about science and math.

I received a Bachelor's in Chemistry from Brandeis University in 1991 and earned my Master's in Science Education from Columbia University Teachers College in 1996. I have been teaching science for 22 years at a top school in New Jersey, where I have been heavily involved with developing labs and activities for students. I have taught all levels of physical and environmental sciences, including AP. I have more than 15 years experience tutoring in all these areas, as well as Algebra and SAT/ACT math and science.

I believe my strength as a tutor lies in making students feel comfortable and simplifying complex ideas to just the basics. Since I currently teach Honors/AP, I am also adept at making sure all the bases are covered for exams.
