"I am a newly retired chemical manufacturing professional with 40 years experience in the industry. I was a well-respected instructor and tutor during graduate school years and enjoyed teaching very much. I was an instructor in Organic Chemistry, Organic and Advanced Organic Lab, Pre-nursing Chemistry and General Chemistry. I provided tutoring in Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry, College Algebra, MCAT Test preparation. I was educated as a Ph.D. Physical-Organic Chemist at Indiana University and as a B.S. Chemist at Carroll University but my industrial career looked more like I was a chemical engineer. I took numerous continuing education courses in Chemical Engineering over my career. I am a proud father of two young professional women who are now finding success in their chosen STEM fields, Mathematics/Data Analytics and Sociology.

I am active as a volunteer with Engineers Without Borders (EWB) and have served on several travel teams designing and implementing a solar-powered water distribution systems in several rural Mayan communities.

Now that I have retired, I am interested in tutoring middle school and high school level science and math, and college level Chemistry and select chemical engineering topics. Now that I have returned to tutoring in my retirement, I have found that I still get that thrill that comes when a student has been struggling with some concept or problem and their face lights up when a concept is finally understood, or a difficult problem is solved." less...
