After teaching college and high school English for eleven years, decided that I needed a change. Working as a tutor one-to-one and creating lesson plan which works best for student/parent needs would allow me more freedom as an instructor. My favorite part of teaching was not just about the learning process, but also connecting with my students on an individual basis. I am proficient in teaching grammar, mechanics, reading comprehension, expository writing, term paper composition, research, editing, creative writing, SAT prep, AP exam prep, ESL, gifted/talented special education, working with all levels of ability, and encompass as many learning styles as possible to best suit the student.
