"Hi there, I’m Chitra. I have over 27 years of experience in Investment Management. Over this time, I was the CEO of a leading Wealth Management company in South East Asia. I have a Bachelor’s from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka, majoring in Mathematics & Physics. I also have a Master’s in Business Administration from the Fordham University, New York.

During my short time working as a Tutor in an internationally reputed Math & Reading Center in the Washington State, I’ve worked directly with students of various ages who needed assistance with several classes including: Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Trigonometry.

Additionally, I was involved in grading students class work and home work, and that helped me to understand each students strengths & weaknesses.

I used lesson plans to teach the concepts, ensuring time for students to practice the material on their own. I believe that each student has a different pace when it comes to learning these concepts, which is why I work with the students and parents to build a learning plan that best suits their strengths and addresses their weaknesses, and adjust my tutoring approach according to their needs, making learning a pleasant experience.
