With over 20 years of professional healthcare administration experience, I have comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare revenue industry. I have extensive experience as a Certified Healthcare Corporate Compliance Officer and a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) and federal Government (CIPP/G).

I hold a Master of Science in Healthcare Management and a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management.

I have specialized experience in medical coding by applying Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance guidelines to inpatient, outpatient, long term care, rehabilitation, psychiatry, evaluation and management, ambulatory surgery, OBGYN, and cardiology coding. I have worked in the government healthcare environment for over 20 years and contractually, with private hospitals.

I have been teaching students across multiple disciplines to prepare for the CCS, CCA, CPC-H and CPC exams. I specifically address the knowledge gap, higher education curriculums do not provide, by teaching my students the specific knowledge needed to pass their AHIMA (CCS and CCA) or AAPC (CPC, CPC-H) certification exams. These certifications are essential in opening the doors of a medical coding career.
