Hello! I’m an experienced STEM tutor with a strong background in physics, math, and astronomy. I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s in Physics and minors in Mathematics and Astronomy from SUNY Oswego, where I completed an honors thesis modeling how layers inside stars interact during pulsations to better understand stellar interiors. I then earned my Master’s in Physics from Rice University in Houston, TX, and continued research in stellar astrophysics as a Summer Researcher at the Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies in Germany. Currently, I work as an Imaging Geophysicist.
Because of my education and my professional experiences, I bring a deep knowledge of physics, mathematics, and statistics to my tutoring. I love breaking down complex concepts and helping students build confidence and mastery in their subjects.
I cover topics such as:
HS Physics (NYS Regents equiv.)
AP Physics 1, 2, C
University Physics (algebra/calculus-based)
Thermodynamics
Astronomy & Astrophysics
HS & General Chemistry
Statistics
SAT/ACT Math
Algebra 1 & 2
Geometry
Trigonometry
Precalculus
Calculus 1 (Calculus AB)
Calculus 2 (Calculus BC)
Linear Algebra
Multivariable Calculus (Calculus 3)
Ordinary Differential Equations
Partial Differential Equations
I have tutored dozens of students in Physics and Mathematics since my Bachelors. My tutoring style focuses on engagement and guidance, not lectures. I ask questions to check understanding and guide problem-solving. For sessions, bring practice or homework problems, or prepare questions about your topic—knowledge is constructed, not received.
I look forward to working with you! Feel free to reach out with questions. I also offer asynchronous help!" less...
