My name is Lana (short for Svetlana) and I can help you with any of your Russian/English language goals. I was born in Russia, graduated from Herzen State Pedagogical University in Saint Petersburg with a BA in philology (teaching English and Russian as a foreign language) and completed my internship in teaching Russian at Zieliona Gora University in Poland. I’m fluent in Russian, English and Spanish, but most importantly, I also know how to make any information digestible and fun. Teaching is what I do best, whether it is tutoring languages, tour guiding, or breaking down salsa moves.

I moved to Miami 7 years ago and have been helping people to learn my beautiful language and understand the enigmatic Russian soul ever since with the use of authentic student books, games, flash cards and media resources. I never stop learning and perfecting my skills: I recently passed TOEFL test with a score of 114 and got certified as an English-Russian Medical Interpreter.
