"Hi, I'm Monika! I graduated from the University of California, San Diego, in 2023 with my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry, minor in Cognitive Science and Biology. I have been tutoring for over 7 years, working with middle school, high school, and college students. At UCSD, I was both a one-on-one tutor for my peers in general chemistry (AP Chemistry) and biology and an instructional assistant for a biology course, in which I helped the professor run the class for hundreds of students. Given the high density of students I worked with in the limited amount of time we had each session, I am a very efficient tutor, making sure to address my students' needs as straightforwardly. I take pride in building long-term relationships with my students, wanting to watch them excel and build their confidence. I create detailed lesson plans on a spreadsheet, consolidating the session's details for later reference. I am also generous with the notes we make during the lesson, making everything available to my students both during and after the lesson.
