Hi, I’m David—a CSET-credentialed educator, Rice University Physics & Mathematics grad, and lifelong learner who believes math and science don’t have to be intimidating. I’m here to make concepts click, boost confidence, and even spark a little curiosity along the way.

My own academic path took me from Rice (Top 20 school, 3.8 GPA) to earning a Master’s in Teaching from Western Governors University. That combination of deep content knowledge and practical teaching training means I know not only what to teach, but how to teach it so it sticks.

As a Korean-Canadian-American, I understand that every student learns differently. I’ve worked with learners from all kinds of backgrounds, adapting my methods to fit their pace, strengths, and goals—whether it’s mastering Pre-Algebra, tackling Calculus BC, or breaking down college-level Physics and Chemistry.

Test prep is another specialty. I’ve been there—scored a 2260/2400 SAT (back when it was out of 2400 instead of 1600) with a perfect 800 in Math—and I help students tackle the SAT, ACT, ISEE, AMC, Kangaroo, SSAT, and more with strategies that work in the real testing room.
