"I have been preparing students for the Digital SAT for over a year. I got a student to 800 in March 2025. But I've gotten 2 students to a 36 in the ACT in the last year, and it's a much better (arugably easier) test. If you don't have a compelling reason to choose the SAT, I encourage you to consider the ACT!

I’ve worked 20-30 hs/wk teaching test prep since 2016. I teach students specific techniques to improve their speed and accuracy on each question type. I identify gaps in their knowledge & fill them in, teach them where to start each Q, and SAT traps & how to avoid them.

In addition to test prep, I often work with students grades 5-9 to improve their reading and writing skills via novel study, often due to COVID-related learning loss. I'm also available to assist with & supplement student's ELA and/or history coursework.

I also have hundreds of hours of experience working with students with ADHD and Autism, and taken seminars on teaching these students. I have helped these learners achieve their academic goals, going from the bottom 10 to the top 10 percent of their class, by understanding the unique way their brains work.

I earned a BA in Theatre from BYU and an MFA in Acting from UNLV in Las Vegas, and I also work as an actor and director. As a result, I have spent years honing my verbal communications skills, which means I am able to communicate in a way students can easily understand. I am an engaging tutor that students look forward to seeing.
