Through rules and exam content practice, I aim to improve comfort on exams that can otherwise be uncomfortable. The SAT and ACT don’t resemble anything students see in school, so familiarity is very important. Once you become familiar with what to expect, the exam can become a lot easier. The concepts are all covered in normal high school classes, only presented differently. There is, of course, also an element of refreshing topics that have not been taught for several years (at this stage in your academic careers). Geometry, for example, is several years old at this point.

Having gotten a 1520 on the SAT myself, I'm comfortable tutoring all sections and have reached a strong expertise on these exams over the last several years. While attending the University of Miami, I started tutoring one-on-one, and I’m now coming up on 7 years of experience. My students have averaged about 200 point and 7 point increases on the SAT and ACT, respectively. In my time tutoring one-on-one, I worked with a couple companies and was exposed to different teaching methods before finding the right balance of content and application.
