"I have 20 years of teaching experience in science and other subjects, and presently am an environmental education teacher at Salt Springs Park in Montrose, Pa. My career has encompassed science teaching, junior college teaching, substitute teaching (12 years), school psychology and environmental science. I am also certified to teach reading through a certificate earned at Penn State. I am a certified teacher with current updates through Act 48 credits. I also tutor members of my family, including a niece preparing for the CNA exam. I am a devoted mother and grandmother who raised 3 doctors and am working educationally with my 3 young grandchildren. I have a love for children and animals (I volunteer at the local animal shelter), and I am convinced that education is paramount in the lives of children.

Update: As of 2014 I have taken three courses: "An Introduction To Teaching ESL/EFL, Response to Intervention: Strategies That Work, and Reading Apprenticeship".

Currently I am tutoring online and in person. My students are preparing for the SATs And the ACT Test. They made significant progress. Reading at all age levels is available. I continue to study in these subject areas to keep myself current.

Currently (2016), I continue to teach environmental science and tutor through Wyzant. I am working on an online course entitled, "Effective Strategies Supporting Language Arts Instruction". This involves teaching to the Core with the newest educational strategies available.

Presently 2020 I am working with a seven year old boy in reading instruction in person. I also have an on-line student who is in regarding my subject matter. I have worked for Wyzant several years." less...
