"I am an experienced, knowledgeable Tutor with a Master's Degree in Biology, and I have completed coursework towards a PhD. I have been tutoring and teaching college, high school, and school age students in all areas of Science, Math, Statistics, Test Preparation, and English and Writing (I have had a number of articles and photographs published) for more than 20 years. I also have experience with Special Needs Students, and I am happy to offer Online Tutoring, as well as Homeschooling, Cyber School, and Enrichment/Independent Studies Assistance.

I began as a "Peer Tutor" in High School, tutoring Math and Chemistry. I continued tutoring in all areas of Math, Science, Chemistry, Biology and Biological Sciences, Statistics, and Writing, as well as student advising throughout College and Graduate School. During that time, I also interned in Zoo Education, Zoo and Wildlife Research, and began teaching at the College level and in After-School Enrichment Programs. Since then I have taught at several Colleges and Universities, Zoos, Museums of Natural History, and taught and tutored school-age, middle school, high school, college, and graduate school students.

I have an enabling and empowering teaching philosophy, and I enjoy being able to help students to learn the subjects that I teach and to help them to develop their critical reasoning abilities, creative skills, study skills, and thinking skills. Essentially, I try to teach them how to think, learn, reason, and to realize their full potentials.

I know Math isn't everyone's favorite subject in the world, but I enjoy helping students to learn about Math and helping them to see it isn't so bad and can actually be fun and helpful to learn!

I thoroughly enjoy sciences and the discovery and excitement they can offer. I also enjoy helping others to learn about science and helping them get through the rough spots in the learning process. Learning Science can and should be fun!
