I am Yasmina S, a physician and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery resident at Stony Brook University Hospital. I earned my MD in May 2024 from Florida Atlantic University after completing my undergraduate studies at UCLA, where I majored in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology with a minor in Biomedical Research.

I am passionate about teaching and mentoring, tailoring my approach to each student’s unique needs to empower them in achieving their goals. My experience includes tutoring science and language courses (French and Arabic), mentoring in research methodologies, and guiding students through the pre-med process, from the MCAT to AAMC applications.

During medical school, I developed effective study strategies that helped me excel academically, earning induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and high scores on my USMLE exams, ultimately matching into plastic and reconstructive surgery.
