"I am a seasoned editor, writer, and visual artist with over a decade of experience in proofreading, copy editing, story development, illustration, book formatting, and desktop publishing. I have published six poetry collections, one ongoing fiction series, and a screenplay for a feature film in post-production. My writings and art have appeared in USA Today, MISC, Studio Visit Magazine, Bete Noir, The Adroit Journal, and The Anthologist. I am also the recipient of a Vermont Studio Center grant for poetry.
As an author with over ten years of experience in publishing on multiple platforms, I've managed all aspects of the production of my books from rough draft to publication including cover design, layout design, proofreading, formatting, copyediting, illustration, distribution, financial management, and marketing campaigns.
I also have over 10 years of experience in tutoring and training students in report writing, editing, data analysis, and various investigative techniques. I hold a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Criminology and am a Certified Fraud Examiner. My subject specialties include Literary Analysis, Reading, Writing, Poetry, Psychology, Proofreading, and Vocabulary. My teaching method begins with a full understanding of the student's needs and timeframes followed by the development of a program that focuses on those needs until their academic or project goals are met. I prefer an empathetic approach tailored to each student's short and long term goals, and not a one size fits all approach.
I am here to provide you with all the patience and support you need with an empathetic approach to realize your creative vision and help every student succeed! I look forward to using my extensive skillset to make your words shine! Please contact me with any questions you may have or to schedule your first lesson." less...
